Suppose you are driving home from work and feeling pretty worn out.  Your day was long, you’re sleepy and just generally not alert. You might need a few things from the corner store, but you’re not considering that now. You really just want to go back home when BAM! One of those flashing LED signs grabs your attention and you remember what you were looking for and make the decision to stop right there.  You haven’t stopped at this store before, but it caught your attention, and you popped in.

That’s what an LED open sign can do for your business. The task of attracting and retaining customers depends mainly on your product or service, but the first and often most difficult step is getting a potential customer in the door to start with. If you get them in the door, chances are good you’ll be able to turn them into a repeat customer, but you need to catch their eye first, and LED open signs are one way to do that.

The key to a successful business is always going to lie in attracting and keeping customers. The latter part is going to depend largely on whether what you have to offer suits the market and how well you can serve your customer’s needs, but there are lots of things you can do to influence the first part that you might never have thought of.

The reality is that if you want to run a small business, you’ve got to make the absolute most of every resource you have available. You don’t have an unlimited budget for marketing or unlimited time to work on promoting your business, so you need to make sure that effort you can put in is used as efficiently as possible. LED open signs are a great example of that.

An open sign is a simple and seemingly small part of every business. Almost everyone has them, and almost no one gets enough mileage out of them. If used correctly, they aren’t just tool for communicating with customers, they are a tool for attracting customers, which is what business is all about.

An LED open sign is a great example, which is why we’re talking about it. They are bright, colorful, and cost effective and they get attention. Instead of just telling people that you are open or closed, they can be used to remind people that your business has what they need. You can also get animated LED open signs, which capitalize on your natural tendency to look at and notice things that are moving. You could even get an LED open sign that is programmable and put something clever
on it so that people will actually seek it out to look at it. If you want to make the most of your business, this is the kind of thinking that will get you there.

Of course, for some venues, you might find the high-tech look of LED to be a mismatch. In that case, neon open signs may be a better fit.  They are breakable, and use more energy, but they evoke a nostalgic look that LED just cannot.
